Sunday Services – If you come to visit on a Sunday, here’s an overview of what to expect: You don’t have to be a Christian to come along; this is an opportunity to learn more about who Jesus is and why we love following him. We understand that coming to a church gathering can be an uncomfortable experience for many people.  Our style is relaxed and friendly and you won’t be put on the spot or asked to do something unfamiliar. Simply come and observe, or participate to the degree you are comfortable. If you don’t feel like praying, singing, or even standing up you don’t have to.  We realise that some of our practices may be unfamiliar to you so we will try to explain as we go.  Our pastor Russell, and others leading the service, would love to answer any questions you have.

Children’s Ministry – Children are an important part of all we do.

We encourage families to have their children present with them in worship. Jesus said “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt. 19.14). It might be a bit uncommon, and counter-cultural for children to be in worship for the duration of the service in the broader church today, but we are glad for them to be present. In Scripture, when the Lord’s covenant people are gathered before him in worship, children are always present, and never removed. There is little of greater importance than learning to worship our God. Our children learn to worship, not by being absent from worship, but by being in worship. It could be stretching or uncomfortable at times for the congregation, or especially parents of squirming children. But we want to keep the big picture in view, and as a congregation, support and pray for God’s Word to take deep root in the hearts of our children, and by His Spirit, produce fruit for His glory. We do not want to merely tolerate them, or merely keep our children quiet, but to help them see and savor Jesus Christ. To aid in this, a children’s message is normally given directly to the children right before the sermon.

Crèche – A small room (not staffed) is set up for mums or dads who need a quiet space for their little ones ages 0 to 2. Also, the back part of the meeting room has a child-friendly area where parents can feel a little more relaxed with their small children but still join in the worship.

There will be free coffee, tea, and cold drinks before the meeting, as well as coffee, tea, and snacks afterwards. We hope you’ll find your visit both encouraging and thought provoking.
